Painted scenery all around
The original brushwork is mapped onto the scene’s visible surfaces. Walk slowly to explore their depth, or turn to see the imagined surroundings. The view opens in the painting’s proportions; Expanded surroundings fills the screen with areas beyond the canvas.
Step through the canvas
Each entrance uses the artwork’s framing by default. The painting and scene keep the same scale when you compare them. Original painting opens the source canvas; click it again to return to where you were walking. Canvas viewpoint brings you back after exploring. Press C to compare or R to reset.
These are reconstructions with layered scenery and modeled objects. Short movements preserve more of the source composition. Larger walks reveal repaired textures and imagined sides; those areas cannot be verified from one painting. Original painting lets you compare the scene with its source.
Each of the nine environments is reconstructed from its own source painting. Unseen parts remain interpretations. All 61 source images are preserved in the garden and collection; not every painting has its own separate modeled world.
Scene names describe their subjects. “Lily Lake” follows the handwritten caption on its source painting.
